Financial Management Training for Nonprofit Organizations

The Nonprofit Resource Center is hosting a series of trainings on nonprofit financial management. Each of the nine trainings is independent of the others, so you can choose the trainings that are of greatest interest to you and your organization. Some of the dates do not yet have topics assigned so we can tailor the training series to your expressed needs.

About the Trainer. Monica Swink obtained her Certified Public Accountant license in 1988. In 1996, after a successful career in the for-profit sector, Monica accepted a position as Senior Tax Manager in the Exempt Organizations Tax Practice at KPMG, LLP, in Oklahoma City.  Working with local and regional clients, Monica learned the unique aspects of tax exempt organizations and the benefits of the nonprofit sector.  

In 2001, Monica opened her own firm, specializing in nonprofit financial issues. She works with a variety of nonprofit clients on financial leadership training, financial reports and systems. Monica conducts workshops for the Center for Nonprofit Management, the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, the Oklahoma Institute for Nonprofit Leadership, and the Southwest Regional Leadership Forum.

 

Volunteer Management Training Series for Nonprofit Organizations

July 25-26 2013 8:30am-4:30pm at the Nonprofit Resource Center

Learn how to effectively plan, recruit, and place your volunteers in appropriate areas of your organization with Certified Volunteer Administrators at Volunteer Tulsa. This two-day event will teach you how to train and supervise your volunteers and evaluate your volunteer program.

The regular cost of this training is $300; however, through our partnership with Volunteer Tulsa, the NRC is offering the training for $185* per person.
