According to Volunteering in America's website, Tulsa-area volunteer rate is above the national average as of a report released on August 31, 2011. Tulsa ranks 32nd among mid-sized cities in volunteer rates. Between 2007-2010, 231,600 volunteers in the Tulsa-area gave 21.9 million hours of service per year!
